Happy midsommar!

Hello all neighbors!

The new board has had its inaugural meeting, where we distributed positions of trust as follows:

Board positions:

Chairman: Julius Mauritzon
Treasurer/CFO: Mats Eriksson
Secretary: Helena Aghed
Members: Annsofi Nihlén (garage), Leif Larsson, Pauline Jeannot, Sonny Collin

Deputies: Malin Eriksson, Stefan Hult and Kaan Bur

We would also like to extend a big and warm thank you to Mattias Persson and Björn Kjellberg who are leaving the board, and to Peter Strand and Thomas Andersson who are now leaving as deputies – thank you for all the work you have put in for Brf Kryddfabriken!

The board can be reached as usual via styrelsen@brfkryddfabriken.se  during the summer, but important to send to all of us at the board email address (and not the individual addresses).

We would also like to inform you that there are about 3 baby seagulls on the roof of the C-house. They will probably be ready to fly soon.

“According to the Skåne Ornithological Society, seagulls never attack. They only dive and scream to scare you.” (An umbrella could be useful, though). It is okay to clear away bird nests before the birds have laid eggs, but during the period 1/4-31/7 we are not allowed to touch bird nests. We will try to do something about this for next season.

Bicycle cleaning: please make sure your bicycle is not collected for recycling. All collected bicycles are in the corner by the C-house/B-house.

We wish you a nice and sunny summer!

Bike Cleaning Process

Hi neighbors,

A quick follow-up about the bike cleaning: we have now gathered all the bikes that were tagged with tape and locked them together below the balconies of the C-building. If one of them is your bike and you’d like to get it back, please let us know.

The next step will be in June/July, when a company will remove all unclaimed bikes.

Getting to know each other gathering

Hi,

After our first very pleasant  meeting we had on 18 March🥰 Our group came up with a very nice suggestion.

Sunday 13 of April from 12:00 we will have a common “Getting to know each other gathering” for all from BRF Kryddfabriken.

We start the grill,  for everyone…  who bring their own food and drink ( to share)…🥳

Best regards

Message from BRF Kryddfabriken’s nomination committee

Hello dear neighbors!

This is the nomination committee for BRF Kryddfabriken.

We are starting earlier this year to look for board members, as some of the current members will be moving out of the association. For several years now, the interest in contributing to the board’s work has been rather low.
We have managed to form a board thanks to the commitment of a few dedicated neighbors who have served for several years, as well as newly moved-in residents. This year, however, the situation is different. Several long-serving members are now stepping down – which means WE NEED YOU!

It is time for us to take turns sharing the responsibility that comes with owning a cooperative apartment. If we cannot gather enough members, we will have to consider other solutions that may result in increased housing costs.

As a member of a cooperative housing association, you have a direct interest in ensuring that the association is well-managed in terms of maintenance, finances, and overall satisfaction. Serving as a board member gives you both a better understanding of how the association operates and the opportunity to contribute and influence our finances and quality of life based on your own experiences and skills. The only requirement is a willingness to take responsibility, roll up your sleeves when needed, and learn new things. Being a board member naturally takes time but also offers a great deal in return! All that is required is a desire to engage and collaborate. None of us are professional board members.

Because the need for motivated members is significant this year, the nomination committee will be knocking on every resident’s door to talk about this personally. This will also be a great opportunity for you to ask questions about what it means to be on the board. We will start with House A next week (Week 4) and will then proceed floor by floor, door by door. However, you don’t need to wait for us to knock. If you’re interested and want to express your interest in board work or have any questions, feel free to email us at valberedningen@brfkryddfabriken.se as soon as possible.

We look forward to working together to form a board with members from all three buildings and with varied lengths of residency!

Warm regards,
Tom Olofsson
